FLII CA&C – Impact Investing Latin America Forum, Central America and the Caribbean edition
What: The event, initiated by NGO Alterna, aims to highlight the potential that the Central American region represents for the impact sector, bringing together more than 100 impact businesses and 40 impact funds to create connections and develop ideas. The conference will revolve around three strands – people, planet and systems change.

Global Doughnut Days
What: Global doughnut days is an international, community-led festival focused on the ideas of doughnut economics. The festival will start with a day of online events on 6 November. This will be followed by three days of events from 7-9 November, organised by members of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab Community. Last year Global Doughnut Day saw participation in 26 countries, 56 places, over 100 events and more than 4,000 people on one day.

What: One of the world’s main forums for shaping international climate policy, the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (commonly known as COP) is a focal point for discussions on combating climate change worldwide. COP29 aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C, emphasising the urgent need for investment in climate action. The approach involves boosting ambition through national plans and transparency while driving action with effective financing to reduce emissions and address climate impacts.

What: Under a theme of ‘cooperatives build prosperity for all’ this event will aim to convey the people-centred, purpose-led and shared progress-driven nature of cooperatives.
