Tech that opens doors: #techmums founder Sue Black

In her early 20s, Dr Sue Black OBE was living in a refuge with no job, few qualifications, and three children aged under three. Realising any wages she could earn would barely cover childcare costs, she decided to go back to education – and ended up with a PhD in software engineering. Today, Sue is one of Europe’s top 50 women in tech, sits on a government advisory body on digital services, and is the founder of the social venture, #techmums, which aims to reach one million mothers by 2020.
