Putting family first: How we’re working with whanau to improve Maori wellbeing

The Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency in New Zealand aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Maori people, by combining the traditional whanau (family unit) principles with more modern social value approaches. Chief operating officer Awerangi Tamihere – who will be speaking about listening to communities at the Social Value Matters conference later this month – shares how the two fit together.
