Martin Cook: social pioneer, corporate leader and rock legend in the making
Meet Martin Cook – a managing partner at EY and a powerful business leader committed to ensuring social responsibility remains at the core of big business. In the first of our new Leadership Laid Bare interview series, Pioneers Post's Tim West asks Martin about the recently launched EY Foundation, his next role as a rock legend and the leadership lessons he's learnt throughout his career.
The EY Foundation was launched in July this year as a new way for EY (the corporate formerly known as Ernst & Young) to deliver its corporate social responsibility efforts. It is a UK charity that aims to tackle some of the major problems affecting young people today, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
One of the key ways in which it is doing this is through business. The EY Foundation provides support to aspiring entrepreneurs in order to help grow their social enterprises and start-ups.
