How women are pulling the strings in India

In the heart of chaotic Delhi women in the Kathputli Colony are taking a stand against gender inequality through social entrepreneurship whilst reviving an ancient art. Ellie Ward reports from Delhi.

2015 Sankalp Global Forum: India's minister for science, technology and earth sciences has pedged "maximum support" to India's growing community of social entrepreneurs that are tackling inequality with innovative business models.

From 12 women in one room to 7,000 in production units across Bangladesh, over the past decade Hathay Bunano has empowered Bangladeshi women from the country's most disadvantaged communities. Ellie Ward reports.
