Ann Branch works for the European Commission in Brussels in the department for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. She leads a team working on social and inclusive entrepreneurship, developing both policy and innovative funding support. She has worked for the EU institutions for 20 years on a range of EU policies and funding programmes. During this time she has led work on the cultural and creative sectors, the Erasmus+ programme, education for innovation, European social dialogue and industrial relations.
In 2019 Ann was awarded the “Outstanding Public Social Intrapraneur of the Year Award” by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. She grew up in an Anglo-Finnish household in London, and has studied in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Oxford and Paris.
