Ben Metz is a psychoanalytic organisational consultant and a serial social entrepreneur.
Ben works with, and creates environments for, leaders and their organisations so they may do good better. Ben also conceives of, incubates, launches and scales his own initiatives. Through his consulting work he assists people to improve their understanding of organisational dynamics in order to effect change and instigate new behaviours and innovations.
Ben is currently leading the delivery of the Artha Venture Challenge, an investment competition for social ventures in India. He was the Creative Director for
SOCAP, the San Francisco based international impact investing conference series during 2012. He led the R&D efforts of
ImpactAssets, (the US's only 100% impact investment focused donor advised fund) to replicate in the UK and Europe. He established the Ashoka office in the UK and founded the
London Community Recycling Network, through which he launched a dozen social enterprises.
Ben recently co-founded
Shared Assets, a new organisation championing social enterprise delivery of urban and rural regeneration through the management of environmental assets. Ben undertakes numerous advisory and mentoring roles with individuals and organisations and lives peripatetically out of London and other locations with the potential for excellent culinary adventures.
