Julia has over ten years’ experience as a CEO in the social sector, preceded by 15 years’ experience in a global management consultancy and blue chip senior executive roles.
During her career she has specialised in strategy and organisational development and change, advising global companies and working in government advising on public sector reform and privatisation.
Julia played a major role in the development and subsequent implementation of the new Impetus-PEF strategy from when she joined the charity in 2011 and she has been acting CEO since June 2015.
She has a strong background in the education sector having served on the Learning and Skills Council and she is currently a member of the Arts and Humanities Funding Council (both ministerial appointments). She also sits on the Advisory Boards of Big Society Capital and Ashoka UK.
