Piet Colruyt is an experienced (impact) investor and a board member of several companies including Korys, the investment structure of the Colruyt family and the main shareholder of Colruyt Group (Belgium’s largest food retailer).
In 2012, Piet founded Impact Capital NV, an investment holding that focuses on enterprises and projects with a social impact in the field of ecology and social innovation. Impact Capital holds shares in 3E (consultancy and products for renewable energy and energy efficiency – Brussels), Re-Vive Brownfield Fund (sustainable redevelopment of brownfields – Ghent), Clean Energy Invest (solar & windfarms), SI2 Fund and Colruyt. Impact Capital also launched the first social impact bond in Flanders with BeCode, aiming to boost employability young people in Antwerp.
In August 2018, Piet established Impact House in Brussels, a hub for social entrepreneurs, support organisations, impact investors, corporates and civil society.
